Digital TV mandated

The United States Senate passed a bill to mandate that cable companies are using digital television transmissions in 2009.
This gives broadcasters until April 7, 2009 to switch from analog to digital programming. Part of this bill also includes a 3 Billion dollar package to help consumers buy digital to analog converter boxes for use with older televisions.
I guess if you were looking for an excuse to buy a high definition television, you have one now.
I’m sure a lot of Americans have already made the move to bigger and better TV’s.. now even more will..
