Souping up My Video and Audio Capabilities with a Creative Platinum Sound Card

So yesterday was my birthday.

My gifts? Not flowers, not a dinner out.. a kick butt Creative Blaster Platinum Sound card. 

 

 

It took about a half an hour to get it installed, and will take a lifetime to learn. It has advanced editing for both audio and video, which should be perfect for using both our still camera and our handycam. It came with a remote control (on top of box) and a decked out soundboard that we haven’t experimented with yet (even though we spent a great deal of time experimenting with it yesterday) Here is a photo of the soundboard my ‘puter now has:
