Lightscribe Recordable and Label Burning Discs

I had to try out our new Lightscribe CD-R/DVD-R to store some of our digital pictures and see how the label burner on it worked.

After I downloaded my data, I flipped the disc over to “scribe” the CD.

Lightscribe has different free label patterns that you can download, but I decided just to use a bit of plain text with the locations the pics were taken and the year.

It took about 17 minutes for the disc to burn, and it came out VERY light.
I’m not going to make any assumptions based on this first burn, since there were some different options I plan on seeing what I can do to optimize the next one.

We picked up a 10 pack (without jewel cases) for 5.99 at Best Buy. At least they’re relatively inexpensive so we can experiment a little. I’ll be sure to report on the results of my next CD burn with this device.
