Sony’s DVD Dream Audio System
May 9, 2006 – 8:48 amThe Dream DVD Audio System is a great system to use as home theater surround sound.
We own the DAV-C770 model, and it’s been a great addition for listening to music and watching movies.
The C770 came with 5 small speakers, including a woofer. There are a number of presets on the receiver to change the sound quality for regular music or movies. It is a 5 disc changer, so you can keep it loaded with your favorite compact disk or DVD’s.
I’m unsure if this exact model is still available, as we purchased it a couple of years ago, but The newest model is the DVD Dream System DAV-FX900W.
The DAV-FX900W is available for pre-order at Sony Style and is expected to ship on or before May 31, 2006.
It’s priced at around 900.00.
It looks like the DAV-FX900W has stands for speakers (which the C770 didn’t come with) which is a nice touch for putting surround sound speakers in their proper positions.
Here’s a list of other features on the newest Sony Dream Machine:
5 Disc DVD/CD/SA-CD Player with HDMI1 Output
1280 Watts (1kHz Rating)
Portable Audio Enhancer with Front Audio Input
XM2 Connect and Playâ„¢ Ready
DIATâ„¢ Wireless Rear Speakers (with Wired Option)
Sony always has nice products, and I’m sure that the DAV-FX900W will please consumers in the market for Surround Sound system.
