It’s no surprise that computers keep getting smaller and smaller, and market leaders like Sony are offering their popular VAIO series laptops in a smaller format, known as the UX Handheld series.

The Micro PC VGN-UX180P is a “handy” device the weighs less than a pound and a half, but is loaded with just about everything you’ve come to expect from a standard laptop.

It has a 4.5 inch color display screen and is loaded with Microsoft’s Windows Operating System.

The VGN-UX180P is equipped with the following hardware and software.

  • Integrated Wireless LAN. Connect to the internet without wires.
  • Integrated Wireless WAN. Connect to Wide Area Networks for internet access.
  • Intel Core Processor. The VGN-UX180P has a Intel® Coreâ„¢ Solo Processor U1400 1.20GHz1 .

  • Ethernet Connectivity
  • Integrated Bluetooth Technology. Expand your communications with Bluetooth wireless.
  • 512MB Memory
  • Has 2 Built in Cameras.
  • Equipped with a USB slot to connect to or with other media devices such as printers or your personal computer.
  • 64 Key Keyboard
  • Microphone and Headphone Jack
  • Media Slot to add memory
  • Added Security with a Biometric Fingerprint Sensors

The VGN-UX180P uses a standard Lithium Ion battery and has a battery life of 2.5- 4.5 hours, depending on usage.

They have many accessories available, including carrying cases, custom engraving, extra batteries, AC Power adapters, and additional hard drive space.

A basic model currently retails for just under $1,800.00.

This looks like a mobile computer I could wrap my hands on!
