Samsung has really taken the media world by surprise. It has launched the K5 Digital Audio Player. Well, you may wonder what is so special about a digital audio player. Allow me to you answer your question from the official press release:

a flash-memory based MP3 player with ground breaking built-in slide-out speakers, OLED LCD display, and a sleek one-button design. The K5 is a traveler’s, teen’s and everyone in between’s digital best friend.

Most MP3 players are a solitary experience. Either you plug in earbuds or you have to lug around bulky, external speakers in order for anyone else to hear. Consumers never had a better alternative - until now. The Samsung K5 offers two small clear speakers built right into the sleek, compact devise. This groundbreaking technology delivers better sound than anything you would expect could fit in your pocket.”

The idea of a speaker attached the gadget will attract many consumers. It is small in size and touch screen display is an added advantage. The only thing to complain about it may be is the absence of a video mode. Well, some consumers may be unhappy with the price tag of 199 euros for the 1GB version. However, I don’t feel that price will be an issue here if the customers get satisfied with its performance.

There are 3 versions of Samsung K5 digital audio player: 1 GB, 2 GB and 4GB. 30 hours using earphones, or 6 hours in speaker mode-that’s what you will get from your K5.
