The long anticipated BBC iPlayer has had a ton of issues in its’ early stages. The company knows it’s a beta and said bugs were to be expected. But the level of problems has been somewhat higher than expected.

The BBC said today that 100,000 people had registered to use the iPlayer – which allows users to download programs for up to seven days after they have been broadcast – since it went live on Friday.

All of the normal installation issues seem to be happening, as well as a somewhat perceived lack of tech support. Of course it’s way to early to draw conclusions, but some people are getting upset already.

Have you tried the BBC iPlayer?
