Sharp Sues Samsung Over LCD Patents

Sharp claims that Samsung has infringed on five of their LCD patents in a recently filed suit.
The allegations were made in a lawsuit filed by Sharp on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas in Marshall, Texas, against Samsung and its U.S. subsidiaries.
In the lawsuit Sharp said that Samsung LCD (liquid crystal display) modules and TV sets and monitors that include the modules infringe on five of its patents.
Lawsuits are quite common in the flat-panel display industry.
