For a mere $49, you can purchase a cable that will allow you to connect your new iPod Touch to a large-screen TV. The accessory if part of a slew of new products release by Apple this week.

The Apple Store began listing the new Apple Component AV Cable and the Apple Composite AV Cable on its site, noting they are compatible with the iPod touch announced this week, as well as the iPod nano third generation and the iPod classic.

Both cables connect to an iPod or a universal dock via a 30-pin dock connector on one end and then to a TV or stereo receiver. A USB power adapter is included in the price. (Component video is a type of video signal that has been split into components, typically known as Y, Pb and Pr. Composite video is a video signal with all the video information in one signal.)

This is one more reason to consider the unique iPod touch.
