Motorola has been lagging in the Cell phone wars for several years now. Their response for 2008 is to launch an offensive based on a new mobile video player that could stir up the competition because of its’ compelling features.
Motorola Inc on Thursday unveiled a mobile media player that shows live television, on-demand video clips and programming saved on digital video recorders.
Motorola, which has lost share in the cell phone market, said it would showcase its Mobile TV DVBH compatible DHO1 device at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next week. The device will be smaller than a paperback novel, it said.
You know tons of people will be looking out for this thing next week. Convergence promises to be more than a buzzword in 2008.
